My Happy Camper
I took my middle kiddo, BlingBling, to church camp yesterday. With her best friend. It looks like a super facility, and the councelors seem very nice. Here she is on her bunk. She got a pretty good one, because all of her stuff fits in the corner over there instead of getting stepped on at the end of the cots like everyone elses. These were great little A-frame cabins; that were HOT!...but they had fans and windows, and its not as warm as it is here at home. Should be ok.
I've done good so far not having an anxiety attack about BlingBling being away from home. She is with her best friend, but they are only 7 and 8 years old, and the friend cries a lot. A LOT. I prepared BlingBling for the comforting of said friend. So hopefully the first night wasn't too bad. I only worried at about 7 and again at 9:30 p.m., but by then, they were busy doing something and then it was cabin time at 10 and lights out at 10:30. I knew the night would be fun.
First thing Bling did after I took this photo was get out Bun & Clover and put them on her sleeping bag (heads on the pillow, of course!). Next was bug spray because a big ol' horse fly landed on her leg while we were registering. That kinda freaked her out.
The main lodge is fabo...obviously old and very cowboy like. There is a pool (fenced), volleyball court, basketball court, and a big gathering area called the Bible Bowl. Lots of pine trees and dirt trails and a playground too. Looks old, but really great. In the main lodge there is big fire pit with a huge vent chimney. Its so awesome!
So here are some pictures from June of Louie. Even here you can see that he has grown. But look at Louie NOW!
One big kitty! He's gonna be a monster when he is full grown.
