Our New Friend

Finally a moment to sit down and tell about our new friend, No-name Kitty.

Here is a picture from his first day with us. He was skinny and sickly and hungry and cold. Rescued from under a truck near our neighborhood park, we discovered his true identity a couple of days later.

He has been approved as a "viable" kitten by our vet. He was sneezy, congested and had visible eye goop. Kitty is safely home getting used to us and our other animals. They aren't hip on this new addition, but they'll get used to him. He's great.

Unfortunately, (but fortunately for kitty) we discovered after spending $200 on this kitten that he previously belonged to our neighbors down the street. HOWEVER, the adults that live there had told their children that they took this kitten to the pound because it was making their other cat(s?) sick. The couple is divorcing and had rented this house at the beginning of the school year. The male (can't say man, because no real man would behave as he does) there has a nasty temper and doesn't care who's kids are there listening to his filthy mouth. So my kids ONLY go there when he is not there. Its been much more peaceful since he left. What really blows my mind is that the female there dressed up yesterday for his visit with his kids because "she wants him back". Sick! He's toxic and I am REALLY sorry for his children.
